How TogetheRaise Works

  • How does TogethRaise help raise MORE MONEY, FASTER?

    • We combine technology, fun and excitement to increase donor and fan engagement with our fundraising campaigns. Specifically, we show donors how just a small bit of effort to share a link to one of our campaigns can create a viral loop, resulting in total dollars raised being MANY MULTIPLES of the donor’s original donation BECAUSE of that sharing.

  • How does the ImpactBoard work?

    • The ImpactBoard is a bit like a leaderboard. We don’t really consider it to be a competition, but it’s a very cool way to see users’ Total Impact sorted in different ways, and then see your own Impact relative to other users.
    •  
    • Once you donate, you’ll be taken to the top of the ImpactBoard where you’ll see your own row above the rest of the ImpactBoard.
    •  
    • You can always get to your row by logging in or by clicking the button we send with our Thank You for Donating email.
    •  
    • You can SORT the ImpactBoard using the header fields on desktop web or the drop-down sort on mobile web.
    •

  • How can YOU increase your IMPACT?

    • By SHARING your ImpactLink! We can’t say it enough, we care MUCH MORE about users SHARING our campaigns than we do about the size of your donation.
    •  
    • We suggest sharing to social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram for example) for scale, but we’ve also seen great success sharing with friends and family over text or other chat apps.
    •  
    • And remember, if all of our donors get JUST A FEW NEW DONORS, we reach our goals incredibly quickly!

Where’s My Stuff

  • How do I log in?

    • At the top of any TogetheRaise.com page you will see a person icon. Click that icon and select the “Log In” option from the drop-down list.
    •  
    • You will then type in the email you used during the donation process and click “Send”, and we will send you a One-Time Code.
    •  
    • You will then type this One-Time Code into the second text box in order to log in.
    •  
    • We much prefer the One-Time Code method of logging in rather than requiring users to think of a password that they will then need to remember.
    •  
  • Where do I see my detailed Impact stats?

    • Once you log in, you will be directed to the “My Impact” page.
    •  
  • Can I get a copy of a donation receipt?

    • Your donation receipt will be sent to the email that you used when making your donation.
    •  
    • The email will come from TogetheRaise Support and be titled “TogetheRaise Donation Receipt for [Campaign]”

  • How do I see myself on the ImpactBoard?
    • If you are logged in, your row will always be at the top of the ImpactBoard.
    •  
    • If you are not logged in, you can either log in, or you can search for yourself by name using the search box.
    •  
    • You can also click the button at the bottom of the Thank You for Donating email we send after each donation.
    •  
  • How do I see which friends donated from my ImpactLink?
    • This is one of our favorite features! You will see a list of friends and referrals who donated directly from your ImpactLink under the details section of your row on the ImpactBoard (see just above how to get to your row).

    • You can see the total Impact of each of your referrals, and you can also click on their names to see their detailed Impact stats!

Ambassador Program

  • How do I sign up?

    • You can see details on our Ambassador Program page

    • In short, you first Log In, click the Profile Icon, then in the dropdown menu select Ambassador Signup.
    •  
    • Review and agree to the Terms Of Use and Ambassador Addendum.
    •  
    • Then you will be prompted to login to your PayPal account, where you authenticate and authorize TogethRaise to make Ambassador payments to your PayPal account
    •  
    • You need to have a PayPal account in order to complete the signup for the TogetheRaise Ambassador Program
    •  
  • How does the Ambassador Program work?

    • As an Ambassador of TogethRaise, you can earn money based around your SHARING efforts.
    •  
    • In the Ambassador Program, upon your sharing your referral link, you can then share in the Tips that donors under your referral tree may add-on when making a donation.
    •  
    • This applies both to donors that you directly refer, as well as potentially to donors referred by donors that you originally referred (and so on).
    •  
    • Please see the Ambassador Addendum to learn how this process works and credits earning to Ambassadors based on activity under their referral tree.

  • Can I earn money if I refer friends to be Ambassadors (YES!)?

    • Absolutely you can! We have designed the Ambassador Program tip sharing system so that you may share in tips generated by / under any other Ambassador who is within 2 levels of you.
    •  
    • This means that if someone you refer directly to a Campaign becomes an Ambassador, you will share in the tips generated by donors in their “tree”, and if someone you refer directly refers someone else who becomes an Ambassador, you will ALSO share in tips given by donors in that next Ambassador’s “tree”.

    • We designed the program this way to encourage Ambassadors to invite their friends and family to also become Ambassadors. And this of course helps us with our mission to help incredible non-profits Raise More Money Faster!

  • How often do Ambassadors get paid?

    • Ambassadors get paid every Friday for earnings in their account balance that were accrued through the prior week Thursday midnight.
    •  
    • On your Ambassador Profile page, you will see both your total account balance to date, as well as what is scheduled to be paid on the next payment date.

  • Do I need a new Ambassador Referral Link for each new campaign?

    • Yes - in the same way that you need a new ImpactLink for each new Campaign.
    •  
    • In order to generate your new Ambassador ImpactLink for the new Campaign, just donate to the new Campaign and TogethRaise will generate the new ImpactLink for you. Your new ImpactLink will automatically be an Ambassador ImpactLink if you are already an Ambassador from an earlier Campaign.

    • If you do NOT want to donate to a Campaign in order to get your Ambassador ImpactLink, please contact support@togetheraise and we will generate a link for you.
    •  
  • Do my past referred donations count towards my newly-created Ambassador account?

    • No. Your Ambassador earnings only start once you’ve signed up for the Ambassador Program and verified your PayPal account.
    •  
    • However, to be clear, if you’ve shared your ImpactLink before signing up to be an Ambassador Ambassador, anyone who donates with that ImpactLink AFTER you’ve signed up will be included in calculating your Ambassador earnings.

Charitable/Non-Profit Partners

  • How do we choose our partners?

    • We want to work with non-profits around the globe working in the following areas:  
         
      • Protecting/saving animals.
      • Protecting the environment
      • Mitigating/preventing Climate Change.
      • Addressing/preventing humanitarian crises.
       
    • We also look for non-profits that are large enough to be able to handle our large Campaign sizes. We need to know they have the staff and the scalability to put the money to work!
    •  
    • We prioritize non-profits whose work can be easily quantified. For example, an organization focused on feeding the hungry that shows us the number of children saved from hunger and starvation over some period of time.
    •  
    • Finally, we prioritize organizations that have historically shown high levels of operating efficiency, where a very high percentage of donated funds goes directly towards their stated mission.

  • How can I suggest a non-profit partner for another campaign?

    • We LOVE hearing from our fans about their favorite organizations doing great work around the globe.

  • Will TogethRaise ever do multiple campaigns at once?

    • We plan on doing that quite soon!

Donations and Tips

  • Are my donations and/or tips tax-deductible?

    • Your donation to a Campaign at TogethRaise is made to a registered 501(c)(3) charity.

    • You will receive a charitable giving receipt from us.
    •  
    • You donation may be tax-deductible based on your country and state of residence
    •  
    • Your tips are not tax-deductible.
    •  
  • Does TogetheRaise take any fees out of donations?

    • NO. TogetheRaise never takes a fee of any kind from donations to our Campaigns.
    •  
    • This is why we invite our generous donors to tip TogetheRaise during the donation process. This enables us to run our platform and continue to help incredible non-profits Raise More Money, Faster!

  • Are donations or tips refundable?

    • Neither donations nor tips are refundable.
    •  
    • In the case that you think you made a donation or tip in error, please contact support@togetheraise.com and we will review your particular concern.

Privacy Stuff

  • Can I remove myself / my info from the ImpactBoard?

    • If you choose to have your donation be anonymous during the donation process, your info will not show up on the ImpactBoard.
    •  
    • If you did not choose to have your donation be anonymous but want your information removed from the ImpactBoard, please contact privacy@togetheraise.com and we will address your particular concern.

  • Does TogetheRaise share or sell any of my personal information?

    • If you choose to have your donation be anonymous during the donation process, TogethRaise will not share your name or email address with either the person who referred you or the non-profit organization to which you donated. Note that the payment processing engine will verify the information included on your credit card entry.

    • If you did not choose to have your donation be anonymous during the donation process, TogetheRaise will share your name with the person who referred you and your name and email with the non-profit organization to which you donated.
    •  
    • TogetheRaise will never sell any of your information.

Credit Card Transaction Security

  • How does TogetheRaise keep my credit card information secure?

    • TogetheRaise uses Stripe to process credit card transactions. Because Stripe does the processing, we never have access to your credit card information. Stripe uses the strongest forms of security and encryption to keep your credit card information safe.
